FIRM PROFILE

Biagi, Chance, Cummins, London, Titzer, Inc., has over forty years experience providing professional engineering services throughout the Midwest and the Northeast, as well as selected projects throughout the United States.  We provide mechanical, electrical and civil engineering services.  Our offices are located in Evansville, Indiana; Shelbyville, Kentucky; Indianapolis, Indiana; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Vineland, New Jersey, and St.Louis, Missouri. 

BCCLT empowers our engineering staff through a combination of knowledge-sharing from experienced senior engineers and tool-equipping with the latest technologies for building systems design. We were on the cutting edge of energy audits in the 1970’s, CAD in the 1980’s, and 3-D CAD in the 1990’s. Today we are part of the movement in the building industry towards sustainability, IT infrastructure, and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
 

Our seventy member staff includes thirty graduate engineers, fifteen of whom are registered professional engineers.  A sample listing of our clients includes Sony Music Entertainment Inc., the University of Kentucky, Scott Air Force Base, Clarian Health Partners, the New Jersey School Construction Corporation, and the University of Southern Indiana.

History

Since our start in Paducah, Kentucky, in 1965,  the primary areas of our professional expertise have been mechanical, electrical and civil engineering for institutional clients. 

We have a proven record of performance, evidenced by satisfied repeat clients.  We provide key engineering disciplines in-house with staff experienced as an interdisciplinary team.  We can and often do provide extended construction phase services consisting of on-site resident services.

Owner Involvement

Our firm consists of sixteen owners.  These key team members utilize their experience in a participatory manner to develop a partnering relationship with our clients.  We continually solicit client involvement in design development through extensive personal interaction.  We utilize the charette environment of intensive on-site involvement to facilitate this interchange of ideas and concepts.  Over fifty percent of our work is performed in the role of lead professional. Our partnering approach to design results in buildings that meet clients’ needs.

Energy Conservation Opportunities:  

We have a track record of developing energy alternatives for our clients. We often perform energy analysis to compare system alternatives. In addition, we have investigated and/or implemented advanced energy conservation opportunities such as thermal storage and cogeneration for clients including the Sony Corporation, Clarian Health Partners, and the University of Southern Indiana .

LEED/Green Building:

As the building industry continues to realize the importance of designing buildings with consideration of energy, environment, and human factors, our staff is continually being trained to meet these challenges. We have designed LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)-certified buildings, and our staff includes four LEED Accredited Professionals. We have the software and experience to model building total energy performance to document and achieve LEED points. 

Registered Communications Distribution Designer

We also have an in-house RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) for all Information Transportation Systems (ITS) and Information Technology needs.  The RCDD is a designation for individuals who demonstrate expertise in the design, integration, and implementation of information transport systems (voice, data, video, audio, and other low-voltage control) and their related infrastructure components. The RCDD designation is globally recognized within the industry.
