This expansion of the Lutheran Hospital campus will be a new free-standing Orthopedic & Spine Hospital. The $24Million, 87,500 square foot facility will provide a stand-alone capability with surgeries and bed tower to the north side of the hospital campus site. The three-story Hospital will include the ability to add a fourth floor in the future. The existing central plant will serve the new hospital with chilled water, steam, electric and med gases. The central plant will be expanded with the addition of a chiller, cooling tower, and related pumping. An added emergency generator is also provided. Surgery HVAC systems will provide 40 air changes per hour, as required by the owner’s air quality criteria, with capability for reduced airflow during periods when not in use.
