BCCLT, Inc. served as the prime professional for the replacement of three (3) water-tube boilers, boiler controls, condensate tank/controls, DA tank/controls, water softener system/controls pressure reducing stations along with all associated pumps, fans, valves, pipes, etc.
Replacement boilers utilize high efficiency burners and controls. Energy efficient features included condensing stack economizers, blow down economizers, RO water treatment equipment to reduce blow down, and pre-heat of domestic hot water using condensate. Project controls incorporate integration with existing facility as was applicable. The BCCLT, Inc. engineering team worked closely with the VA Staff and the Station Energy Manager in the design of the replacement boiler system and specifically the associated controls systems. This effort included design compliance with National VA Boiler Plant design standards. BCCLT, Inc. was the Lead Professional for this Project in an active steam and chilled water plant serving the VAMC in Louisville, Kentucky.
