Replace Climate Controls for C&E Addition & Consolidate Energy Management Systems

BCCLT, Inc. served as the Lead Professional for the controls upgrade project at the Robley Rex VAMC in Louisville, Kentucky.

The project focused on replacement of pneumatic controls with DDC controls on 259 HVAC terminal units and 416 fan coil units. In addition, controls upgrade was made on AHU systems plus the replacement of unit motors and addition of VFD unit. The BCCLT, Inc. team performed a detailed survey of each HVAC unit and AHU system. Working closely with the VA Staff the construction documents present alternates to allow adjustment of scope during the bid process. A phasing plan and detailed work requirements specifically coordinated with the VAMC Infection Control Manager are included in the construction document.
